Bunge Paraguay

Bunge Paraguay S.A. was established in 2006 and is currently one of the main agro-industrial companies in the country, a subsidiary of Bunge Limited (Bunge Global), one of the world's agro-industrial giants with integrated operations and assets strategically distributed along the entire agro-industrial chain. The company is dedicated to the origination, marketing and export of grains and oilseeds, mainly soybeans and their byproducts. With an annual grain marketing volume close to 850,000 tons, Bunge ranks among the main exporters of Paraguay (frequently in third place in the ranking of soybean and byproduct exporters alongside Cargill and COFCO). The company generates direct employment for nearly a hundred people and indirect employment for several thousand more along its value chain. Its headquarters in Paraguay is located in Hernandarias (Alto Parana), in the Parana Country Club area. Bunge also participates, together with Louis Dreyfus and Aceitera General Deheza, in C.A.I.A.S.A., a soybean crushing plant and port terminal that serves markets in Asia, the Middle East and North Africa. As part of Paraguayan foreign trade, Bunge integrates the country's grain production into international markets, taking advantage of the Paraguay-Parana waterway for its exports.
