About Carmelitas
Carmelitas, also officially known as Las Lomas, is one of the most prestigious and exclusive neighborhoods of Asunción, located in the northeast of the capital, around Avenida España and Avenida San Martín. It is the traditional home of much of the Paraguayan upper class and embassies, in an area characterized by tree-lined streets, large residences, and a marked sense of calm. The neighborhood is home to Paseo Carmelitas, a gastronomic and entertainment complex that brings together themed restaurants, bars, and services, considered one of the main nightlife references in the city. It is minutes away from the Central Bank of Paraguay, the Parque de la Salud, and the new corporate axis of Asunción. The real estate offer combines mid-20th century mansions with contemporary developments: low-rise boutique buildings, duplexes, and premium residences with some of the highest price per square meter values in the country. It is a frequent choice for foreign buyers who prioritize residential tranquility without giving up proximity to the corporate and social life of Villa Morra.
