About Bar Leo
Bar Leo is one of those addresses anyone who knows downtown Asunción can point to from memory, on Colón street between Estrella and Oliva, in Ciudad Vieja. With years in the neighborhood, it earned its spot through the beef empanada, a classic ordered by the dozen.
Beyond the empanadas, the menu includes breaded steak milanesa, sandwiches and a surubí fish soup that still follows the original recipe. A place for a quick, solid meal in the historic core of the city.
