Tabacalera del Este (Tabesa)

Tabacalera del Este S.A. (Tabesa), founded in 1994 in Hernandarias, Alto Paraná department, is Paraguay's largest cigarette manufacturer. Its industrial plant produces brands well known in the national and regional markets, including Palermo, Kentucky, San Marino and TE, and employs around 1,150 workers.

The company runs a modern manufacturing complex in the city of Hernandarias, close to the Itaipú dam, investing in staff training and in quality and hygiene controls across production, backed by ISO certification. By its production volume and workforce, Tabesa is one of the leading industrial employers in Alto Paraná.
