Asunción Adventist Sanatorium

The Asunción Adventist Sanatorium (SAA) is a medical-missionary institution of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, inaugurated on July 29, 1959 and expanded with a new tower in recent years. Located at Silvio Pettirossi Avenue 380, in the San Roque neighborhood of Asunción, it offers 24/7 emergency medical care and a wide range of specialties: general surgery, bariatric surgery, cardiology, endocrinology, gynecology and obstetrics, family medicine, pediatrics, diabetology, traumatology and urology, among others. It has its own prepaid medicine system (SAMAP) that facilitates access to its services. Adventist principles of comprehensive care—encompassing physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing—are reflected in the humanistic approach and quality of patient treatment.
