About this business

The Diocesan Museum of Jesuit Art of the Reductions at Santa María de Fe preserves genuine Guaraní baroque treasures from the 17th and 18th centuries. Inaugurated on September 8, 1981, the museum is housed in the ancient 'House of Indians' from 1672, one of the oldest buildings among all the reductions. It holds 57 baroque images across six themed rooms. Its greatest attraction is the Nativity room, considered unique among Jesuit museums in the region — the only one possessing the complete nativity set for all 30 missions. Located 233 km from Asunción, with guides available in Spanish, Guaraní and English.
