About Horqueta

Horqueta is the second most important urban center in the department of Concepción, in northern Paraguay's Región Oriental. Established as a significant agricultural and livestock hub in the northern region, it has service infrastructure serving a considerable area of influence within the department's interior. Extensive cattle ranching and agricultural production are the pillars of its local economy. Horqueta is connected by road to the city of Concepción, the departmental capital on the Paraguay River and the main commercial hub of northern Paraguay, facilitating the movement of goods and people between both centers.
