About San José de los Arroyos

San José de los Arroyos is a district in the department of Caaguazú, in central-eastern Paraguay. The «de los Arroyos» component of its name reflects the presence of waterways crossing the territory, a common geographic feature in this sector of the Paraná river basin. The local economy is sustained by agricultural production, with soybean and maize cultivation and cattle activities as the traditional mainstay of rural communities in Caaguazú.
